The CEuS (currently) consists of 20 full members from seven different disciplines (economics, history, law, literature, political science, psychology, sociology). They are united by their interest in questions relating to European integration.

In addition to full members, the CEuS will seek to admit associate members, extraordinary members and corresponding members in the future. Associated members will be Junior Professors and postdoctoral researchers working at the Friedrich-Schiller-University. Extraordinary members will be Professors of other Universities and qualified practitioners. and corresponding members will be foreign Professors and qualified practitioners. Extraordinary and corresponding members together are to establish both a national and international network and to further the international reach of the Center.
